Becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is more than just a job credential—it’s an important step toward providing compassionate, knowledgeable care in healthcare settings. HT&CC, Inc.’s Nursing Assistant State Certification Program offers a comprehensive blend of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and supervised clinical training that provides aspiring caregivers with the fundamental skills required for safe and effective patient care.

Program Overview and Structure

HT&CC, Inc’s accelerated training is between 100 and 135 hours and can be completed in as little as two and a half weeks during the day shift or four- five weeks with evening classes. Starting in 2020, an additional weekend shift program was introduced, designed as an intensive course meeting all requirements set forth by the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) and state regulations. The focus is on preparing students for the Hawaii State Nurse Assistant Competency Evaluation Test while fostering the right skills, attitudes, and professional behaviors necessary to excel in caregiving roles.

Curriculum and Skill Development

HT&CC, Inc. Participants will learn over 81 Basic nursing procedures including infection control, bloodborne pathogen safety, accurate measurement and recording of vital signs, restorative care, and life-saving techniques.

Moreover, the program provides a free basic Prometric review course to all trainees, supporting one of the highest passing rates on the Prometric Hawaii State Nurse Assistant Certification Exam.

The Role and Impact of CNAs

Beyond learning basic nursing skills, the coursework emphasizes the vital role CNAs play in enhancing quality of life for patients, residents, and clients. Graduates emerge not only as skilled caregivers but also as empathetic professionals dedicated to making meaningful differences in healthcare environments.

HT&CC’s State Certification Program is an intensive, well-rounded pathway that will prepare individuals thouroughly  for the CNA role.

By combining instruction, practical skill application, and strong exam preparation, our program ensures participants are ready to perform confidently and compassionately. As healthcare continues to evolve, the demand for competent CNAs underscores the value of such educational programs in shaping the caregivers who truly make a difference.

HT&CC, Inc.’s, fundamental objective is to cultivate a deep appreciation among our graduates for the critical role that Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play within the healthcare system. More than just a title, the CNA position embodies a profound opportunity to improve the daily experiences and overall quality of life for patients, residents, and clients under their care.

Understanding the CNA’s Impact

Certified Nursing Assistants serve as the frontline caregivers who interact most closely with those receiving medical attention—whether in hospitals, nursing facilities, or home care settings. They assist with essential tasks such as hygiene, mobility, feeding, and monitoring vital signs, ensuring that patients’ basic needs are met with compassion and professionalism. This hands-on care fosters an environment of dignity and comfort, which significantly contributes to recovery and well-being.

Beyond these duties, CNAs often become trusted companions, offering emotional support and human connection during challenging times. Their presence can alleviate anxiety, loneliness, and fear, making an immeasurable difference that extends beyond physical health. This multifaceted role requires not only technical skills but also empathy, patience, and a steadfast commitment to the holistic welfare of individuals.

Why Recognizing the CNA Role Matters

Despite the crucial nature of their work, CNAs are sometimes overlooked in broader healthcare conversations. HT&CC, Inc. strives to change this by emphasizing the intrinsic value CNAs bring to patient care teams. Educating graduates to understand their influence empowers them to approach their roles with pride and professionalism. Through this enlightened perspective, CNAs can advocate for higher standards, improved working conditions, and greater respect within the healthcare hierarchy.

Ultimately, the goal of HT&CC, Inc. is to ensure that every CNA graduate enters the workforce equipped not only with skills but also with a meaningful vision of their role as catalysts for positive change. In the evolving landscape of healthcare, the compassionate care and attentive presence of CNAs remain indispensable, profoundly enhancing the lives they touch every day.

Question: Who Can Apply for this Program?
Answer: Anyone! The CNA Training Program is designed to welcome a diverse range of applicants united by a shared passion for caregiving and dedication to helping others. Fundamentally, the program is open to anyone who aspires to enter the healthcare profession. However, there are important age requirements to note. Prospective participants generally must be at least 18 years old to enroll independently. This age threshold reflects regulatory standards and the responsibilities associated with certification and employment in healthcare settings. Yet, the program remains accessible to younger candidates who demonstrate commitment; individuals under 18 may participate if they obtain parental consent, thus providing flexibility for high school students or those eager to start earlier.
